Learn how to draw in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. This class is designed for teens with no drawing experience or those who want to sharpen their skills. There are 5 basic perception skills you need to know to learn how to draw. Once you learn these skills then you can learn how to use them in realistic drawing. After time these skills will become automatic, like tying your shoe, reading or riding a bike until you forget what it was like before you had these skills.
In this class you will learn how to draw from life by breaking down any object into basic shapes. Still-life drawing is all about tricking the eye into seeing things 3-dimentionally when drawn on flat paper. Portraits and gesture drawing is all about capturing a moment and expression. During this introductory class you will learn how to shade and create eye-pleasing compositions. We will be using pencil and charcoal to draw still-lifes, portraits, gesture drawing, figure drawing, grid drawing and 3D drawing. This will be a fun afternoon class and a great place to make new friends!
