Tanners Home Inn is pleased to announce the beginning of their summer cultural series. A Fireside Chitchat will be held at 7pm, on Wednesday, May 25th. The Chit Chat is titled:
New Information On A Murder
The Munro-Vail double murder of 1869
In 1870 local architect John A. Munro was executed for the brutal slaying of his mistress and their baby girl. The subsequent trial saw one of the early uses of forensic evidence, sort of like the CSI shows of today. See some of that forensic evidence which was presented at his trial. This is new material which has not been seen in Saint John since 1870.
The Fireside Chitchat will be held at 7pm, on Wednesday, May 25th. This is an indoor event so space will be limited. The cost is $10 per person and a portion of the proceeds are donated to the SPCA-AR. Drinks and light refreshments will be served. The Chitchat is approximately 1 hour. Not suitable for children.
The schedule for Saturday walking tours will be available at that meeting.
To reserve your seat for the Fireside Chitchat, reply by email or call Terry Munn at 634-8917.
