Event Description

Learn all about the Magic of Lace with-our famous lace guru -Alma Beck, at the beautiful Shadow Lawn Inn in Rothesay,N.B.
Diamonds and Old Lace, October 30, 9-4pm - Scarf or Shawl - your choice.
With strong internal rythms both stitch patterns are easy to learn. The diamond lace stitches on the main body of the scarf/shawl will be trimmed with Godmother’s edging, a lace pattern used on Victorian-era baptism gowns.
Suitable for confident beginner up.
You will need 440 yds of lace weight or fingering weight yarn and 3.25-4mm needles, Alma recommends Addi’s. Pick up supplies at Cricket Cove.
The scarf can be viewed at Cricket Cove in Saint John - it’s worth a visit….. and a class you can’t refuse!
Celebrate Autumn with Lace
Make a week-end of it. Spend Friday night at the Inn - wake up to a delicious breakfast and a full day of knitting with a fun group of knitters.
Fee $60 - includes full day instruction, delicious lunch and breaks and the company of great knitters.
We will as usual have our mini-market with lots of goodies for you.
