Olympic Torch Comes to Uptown!

The Olympic torch arrived in Saint John tonight with a fantastic waterfront celebration at the new cruise ship terminal. There was a huge crowd to welcome the torch and true Olympic spirit was in the air.



The torch remains in Saint John tomorrow before heading to Fredericton tomorrow afternoon.

Santa Claus Parade

Uptown Saint John was the site once again of another successful Santa Claus parade. Good weather allowed for large crowds to take in this year's event with tons of smiles seen throughout the Uptown area last Saturday evening. Princess Street Re-Opens

After a busy year of construction, Princess Street officially re-opened this past Saturday with a day of celebrations in Uptown Saint John. In the photo above, City Mayor Ivan Court speaks to the crowd about the great teamwork required to rework the streetscape and complimented everyone involved on the great results!

Green Feet Shopping Bag Comes to Uptown

Congrats to local artist Nate Guimond who's artwork was selected last week to adorn the new Green Feet re-usable shopping bags for Uptown Saint John. The winning art was unveiled last Friday night at Fusion's Party with a Purpose at the Big Tide Brewery on Princess Street. Great job Nate!
