Did you know that Handworks is the destination for wedding gifts in Saint John? A lot of people choose our store because each item we carry is handcrafted with care by local artists. We carry a huge variety of unique items from the super functional to the purely whimsical. There is something for every taste and budget.


Pottery is a popular gift because it's functional and beautiful. We have serving sets, mugs of all shapes and sizes as well as vases, butter dishes, casseroles, and more. A lot of our artists have full sets of pottery that can be used for everyday dinnerware. If you don't see something you need in store, let us know because we are able to order most items in from the artist. They can even do customized pieces!



Pottery doesn't end with dishware. We have lovely home decor items in clay such as mirrors, wall art, clocks, hanging vases and plates etc. Pottery not your thing? We also have many items in wood, metal glass, and textiles. Our artwork is also not to be missed.

When a couple comes in to register, we help set them up with a list of items they point out, and if the item is one of a kind we tuck it aside so it's available for their guests when their date looms close. We also offer the option of gift certificates, and as always we gift wrap at no extra charge.
