2nd Annual Saint John Contemporary Dance Festival July 27th through 29th, 2012.
The festival kicks off with a free performance at The Saint John Arts Centre Friday, July 27th at 7pm featuring local dance artists Nawal Doucette, Kelli Wray, Stéfanie Mayhew & Connection Dance Works.
The main event, Saturday, July 28th at 8pm takes place at The Sanctuary Theatre at 228 Germain Street in uptown Saint John.
Artists include:
Jim Dalling - a one-man show from Toronto
Julie Duguay - a contemporary dance artist from Moncton
Kyle Davey - a contemporary ballet dancer from The Atlantic Ballet Theatre in Moncton
Connection Dance Works – a professional dance company based in Saint John
The Gala show will open with works from students of the iDance intensive summer camp at InterAction School of Performing Arts.
The weekend-long festival also includes workshops in clowning, contemporary, modern and ballet dance. For more information on the festival performances and workshops are available online at connectiondanceworks.com or through Facebook.
